MycoKey experience in Europe and Asia

To this scope, several actions are being carried on, through the settlement of research cooperation agreements, joint activities among partners, training opportunities and networking for students and research scientists around the world.
In Japan Antonio Logrieco, the MycoKey Coordinator participated at the International Symposium of Mycotoxicology 2016 – ISMYCO 2016 from Nov 30 to Dec 2, 2016.
He presented the project to a large Japanese and Asian public and provided an updated review of the state-of-art and proposed solutions, while Giuseppina Mulè from CNR presented the research on Mycotoxin degradation by laccase enzymes from Pleurotus spp.
In Finland, PhD student Martina Loi from ISPA-CNR, Bari, Italy is working as an exchange student at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland for a 6 month period. Her PhD project is related to development of green, environmentally friendly detoxification methods for mycotoxin degradation.


This event was held in November the 11th at EspooFinland and had over 1500 participants. MycoKey poster gained a lot interest and active discussions in the Safety and Security session.
