Agreement between projects Mycokey and Mytoolbox
The European Commission decided to fund two projects to tackle relevant food safety challenges in Horizon 2020 programme under the topic SFS-13-2015 “Biological contamination of crops and the food chain”: “MyToolBox” (Grant Agreement no. 678012) and “MycoKey” (Grant Agreement no. 678781).
Following the call requirements, both projects aim at reducing the mycotoxin contamination throughout the food and feed chain by integrating different disciplines and research into an ICT tool that assists stakeholders in decision making.
To identify potential overlaps that can be leveraged for collaborative research, the coordinators of both projects agreed to meet during the international World Mycotoxin Forum 2016 in Winnipeg, Canada, for a first discussion between the projects’ partners attending this forum.
During the H2020 Coordinators’ day organized by European Commission in Brussels, the Joint Meeting of MyToolBox & MycoKey: Determining synergies & distinctions between two H2020-SFS-13-2015 projects has been held among the project managers and the European Commission Project Advisor to discuss terms of cooperation.
Finally, the agreement between the two project has been signed in September by Project Coordinators
Antonio F. Logrieco and Rudolf Krska and the joint action plan for cooperation has been shared.
